Carnival St. Barths, FWI 2016

When you say the word Carnival most people think of Rio De Janerio, Brazil; Trinidad and Tobago and of course St. Thomas, USVI. In reality pretty much every island in the Caribbean has some version of Carnival and St. Barths is no exception. In St. Barths, Carnival is more of a Mardi Gras celebration.  Floats and troops clothed in bright colors dance down the parade route in Gustavia. Carnival is a three day event starting in Gustavia with the Children’s Parade, followed by Mardi Gras Parade the following day. Villa Rental By Owners-Villa Kali & Villa Bois Joli St. Barts

I’ve been advertising with VRBO/HomeAway since 2011. In December of 2015, Expedia purchased HomeAway/VRBO and proceeded to roll out a 4-10% service fee that clients now have to pay. This of course is in addition to the yearly fees that Owners are already paying. Owners will be penalized if they don’t “encourage” their clients to use the “Book it Button.” They do this by pushing your ad further down the page so people won’t see it. St. Barths Bucket Regatta Practice Run

Tomorrow kicks off the annual Bucket Regatta and air show in St. Barths. My maid, Lynn captured these pictures from the balcony at Villa Kali. Clients staying at Villa Kali and Villa Bois Joli will have the perfect viewing spot for the Regatta as all boats will pass behind Le Cale, the island off of Grand Cul de Sac Beach. Thirty nine yachts from across the globe will meet in Gustavia and compete in this years race.
